Oh, Spring! Oh, Spring! You fill me with delight,
crickets chirp songs at the time of night. Now is the time
when flowers begin to bloom, filling up my window
when I look outside my room. Butterflies fly from flower
to flower, and children watch from hour to hour.
Oh, Spring! Oh, Spring! You fill me with delight,
I think about you now, and when I sleep also every night.

A Rap Song
I know a teacher named Mr. B
Sometimes he’s really funny to me
And he likes to write poetry
He makes me laugh with all his jokes
Then I run home and tell my folks
You have a daughter younger than two or three
I bet she’s sweeter than a bumblebee
I hope you enjoyed this rap
Maybe later we should go and chat

Winter
Winter is my favorite season,
for one reason,
it? cold fun!
In the snow
you can make snowballs.
Hit them with a bat,
CRACK!
Go back inside through
the hall,
to the kitchen,
and slurp down
a mug of
hot chocolate.

A Sparkly Christmas
White night, snow falls
Window shop, Christmas dolls.
Trim the tree, Twinkly lights
Star on top, angel white.
Jammies on, sleepy eyes
Time for bed, lullabies.
Wake up! Did Santa come?
Are presents here, did I get some?
Surprise for me, surprise for you
May all your Christmas dreams come true!

Chores
Chores,
Who invented them?
Parents always tell you,
"Clean your room.
Wash the dishes.
Mop the floor."
I can tell you many more chores.
You can't say, "NO!"
Or you'll find an angry parent
Storming at you red as a tomato
No more video games,
No more TV,
The punishment is...
More Chores!

My Heroes
Great heroes to me are the soldiers fighting in the war,
the people living on the streets, cold, hungry, & poor,
people sick, dying of cancer, so very ill & sore,
the people I live every moment of my life for.
U don't have to be exactly heroic to be a hero in my book,
u just have to have, a warm loving heart, & with life a great outlook.
My best friends are my heroes every single day,
for the amazing things that they have done, & all the great things they
have to say.
My grandpa is my hero for he was very wise, & smiles he would always
send,
he would smile as much as he possible could until the very end.
People & animals that have been abused, people who have lost others, &
all the other things that they will lose.
People with a broken heart,
people raised wrong right from the start.
People who must work at a job they really hate,
people who do so much, & yet others don't appreciate.
People who want to commit suicide, a path that is a terrible way,
but stay alive one extra, & one extra day.
People who dare to be different, unique like me,
people who are blind, for the world they'll never get to see.
Anyone that wants to pass on a smile,
anyone who will be kind to somebody for a while.
Any guy that's ever been nice to me,
all the explorers that sailed from sea to shinning sea.
Anyone, anywhere that does at all truly care,
anyone that's living a life that isn't at all fair.
Heroes can be a lot of things, there is so much stuff you could do,
for anyone can truly be a hero, if you want to.

A Feather? Journey
The feather from a turkey flowing in the sky.
Brown leaves blowing everywhere camouflaging the feather.
The feather flows past a bald eagle gliding around.
The feather glides past a wild pack of buffalo and a bear looking for food.
The feather glides through the forest.
The wind blows harder and harder making the leaves move faster.
The feather flies past a pack of hunters hunting for buffalo.
The feather glides past a village, going past deer eating berries.
The feather flies past a corn field, past birds flying everywhere in the blue sky.
The feather flies into a small village past tepees and fires burning.
The feather flies into a tepee where a baby is sleeping with her dream catcher,
catching the nightmares. The feather flies into the dream catcher.
The feather? journey is over.

What A Veteran Is To Me
When I look veteran up in the dictionary it describes a person who has
served in military force. It also describes a person having experience
with war. Although these definitions may be true, a veteran is much
more to me. To me, a veteran is someone brave who has stood up for their
country at a time of need. A veteran is someone who is not selfish but
gives from his or her heart for others. A veteran is kind and helps all
people not just certain kinds and colors. A veteran is strong to
fight many fights to win the freedom of those they protect.
Veterans are special to me because without them the choices I am used
to may have been taken away. I was born during a peaceful time, when no
wars were taking place, but since I was born, America has entered war
and the Twin Towers have fallen. Before my birth, many wars took place
and it was because of the men and women who joined the military that my
freedom still exists.
No matter what a dictionary says, a veteran is more than a person
served in the military. A veteran is a true American someone just like
me–someone who stands up for the United States and is happy to be free.

Zoya, A Hero
My sister Zoya is my hero. She's twelve years old. Since she is
older, I learn from her mistakes. She doesn't make many though. I gets
lots of good advice from her and my other sister Shannon. Some of the
advice she gives me is about school, friends, sports and much more. She has
always been there for me.
Zoya has known me since I was born. She went through really bad times.
Billy my brother threw a shovel at her when she was only one and half.
It almost took out Zoya. She has been afraid of my brother all this
time and I thought she wasn't afraid of anything all this time, but you
don't have to be brave to be a hero.
Wow, I can't believe she is a straight A student and is my hero. Zoya
has been on high honor roll and honor roll ever since fifth grade. Now
she's in middle school and I know she will do great in all her
sports and in school. Even though we always fight about things, she is my
sister and I love her. Keep aiming for the sky!

The leaves of fall
sound like rice krispies
crackling when you add milk.
CRUNCH! CRACKLE!
Fall smells like hot chocolate
in the fresh air.
Fall tastes like hot sweet potato pie
straight from the oven.
Do you see the changing color leaves
falling from the tree?
Let's rake them up and jump in
Weeeee!
Watch out here I come,
SPLASH!
What a great time in fall.

Football
Catch the ball
Get tackled and fall
Don't stand there
Just like a stump
Run, Run
Like Forest Gump
TOUCHDOWN!!
Scored six points for the town
Cheerleaders jump around
The crowd makes a
cheering sound
Boys treat this game like a pearl
But I don't care
I'm just a girl.
